Targeting the most remote and vulnerable populations
The Cooperation Fund for Water and Sanitation coordinates various water programs in Latin America and the Caribbean, thanks to the confidence of the EU, through two mechanisms: LAIF (Latin America Investment Facility) and the Development Cooperation Instrument (DCI). In these operations, the contribution of the FCAS is usually directed to the most remote and vulnerable populations to promote the realization of the Human Rights to Water and Sanitation, the development of public policies and actions of institutional strengthening in the sector.
As of 2022, eight Delegated Cooperation programs are underway:
LAIF Bolivia-Support for the Water and Sewerage Program in Urban and Peri-Urban Areas
Integrated Water Management Program in Urban Areas
