Since 2021, the Agreement between AECID and the Universidade da Coruña for the «Management, technical support and training in the field of sanitation and sustainable drainage planning in the plurinational state of Bolivia», financed with European funds from the LAIF program Support to the urban and peri-urban water and sewerage program has been under execution in Bolivia.

Through this agreement, the University is contributing to the development of drainage master plans, has carried out various training activities in Bolivia, and has provided technical assistance to the Ministry of Environment and Water in the development of public policies related to water and primarily associated with the construction of sustainable drainage techniques in the cities of Sucre, Oruro, and Trinidad.
